Enterprise & Environment Directorate In outline Six partner Councils bid to the UK and Scottish Governments; Expected bid for £1bn public sector investment; Aim to lever in additional private sector investment of £3.2bn; 10 year programme of implementation – payback over 20 years.

Enterprise & Environment Directorate A City Deal to help deliver Our Vision A single approach (based on the regional labour market) to measuring the economic & fiscal impacts of potential projects – to establish a single set of priorities for investment. A clear & integrated regional infrastructure strategy and delivery plan. Establish a £1bn Infrastructure Fund to accelerate economic growth; enhance productivity across the region and tackle inequalities. Develop a regional Low Carbon Fund. Building on and accelerating SESPlan’s vision for place and its Action Plans. Greater autonomy/ decision-making power at regional level.
