Overview and History HDMI is an acronym for High Definition Multimedia Interface. It was designed by several companies such as Hitachi, Panasonic, Phillips, Silicon Image, Sony, Thomas and Toshiba in 2002. They were produced and sold in 2003. It was a big hit and money maker. Creates better resolution (720p or 1080p) This means there are 720 or 1080 pixels per second on the screen.

Connections o It connects to various devices, such as computers, laptops, televisions and game consoles. o Either side of the HDMI cord can be plugged into the device.

Information Processing Features It processes input information which contains a video and an audio signal.

Future Trends HDMI has already developed so much by increasing Hz (herts). Future models will have higher Hz and better resolution, creating the best video and audio.
