2. Overview and History  HDMI is an acronym for High Definition Multimedia Interface.  It was designed by several companies such as Hitachi, Panasonic, Phillips, Silicon Image, Sony, Thomas and Toshiba in 2002.  They were produced and sold in 2003.  It was a big hit and money maker.  Creates better resolution (720p or 1080p)  This means there are 720 or 1080 pixels per second on the screen.

4. Connections o It connects to various devices, such as computers, laptops, televisions and game consoles. o Either side of the HDMI cord can be plugged into the device.

5. Information Processing Features It processes input information which contains a video and an audio signal.

6. Typical Specs  Maximum pixel clock rate is 340 MHz, which makes the best resolution  Adapters are available for purchase, such as HDMI to DVI  Standard HDMI cable allows up to 1080i and 720p  High Speed HDMI cable allows up to 1080p

7. Future Trends  HDMI has already developed so much by increasing Hz (herts).  Future models will have higher Hz and better resolution, creating the best video and audio.
