Lady Birds. Lady Birds (coccinellidae) are also know as lady bugs, lady beetles, lady clock, lady cow and lady fly. Lady Birds live with aphids on plants such as roses, oleander, milkweed and broccoli.

Size. Ladybugs range in size from 1mm to 10mm.
They are commonly yellow, orange or scarlet with small black spots on their backs.

Diet. Ladybugs like to eat aphids, mealy bugs and mites.
Adult Ladybugs can eat over 50 aphids a day and Ladybug larvae can only eat around 25.

Species. There are over 5000 different species of Ladybugs all around the world. Nearly 400 of them live in North America.
