3 Industry/Academic Collaboration Open a dialogue with FDA about: –Use of open source software –Open architectures Standards for interfaces/architectures –Robots –Imaging devices (esp. 2D/3D US) Software toolkit for image guidance (beyond VTK and ITK) –Consolidation of efforts
