2. Welcome to Metro Tech High School My name is Ms. Lane I have taught grades 7 through college for 21 years This class will meet for one semester. CTE class will prepare you for high school, college, career and life. This class will help you make choices about careers that interest you.

5. In Career & Technology Exploration, we: Follow district, school and classroom policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Demonstrate care of equipment and workstations.

6. What do we learn in CTE class? Explore careers as you make important decisions for your future Create a portfolio which includes your career choice and action plan; ECAP Plan; business documents; community service documentation; academic and extracurricular achievements. Utilize Microsoft Office 2010 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Publisher) to create business documents, presentations, spreadsheets and databases.

7. What do we learn in CTE? Proofread and edit copy while performing file management skills. Demonstrate an understanding of business management, teamwork, decision making and ethics, etc. Develop employment skills.
