Second Alternative Use a desktop as an 802.11x link Advantages –In line with original solution requirements –No “data dump” or extra steps required for nurses –Real-time monitoring of study progress Disadvantages –Server VI will need to handle complex cases –Server VI will need to be running at all times

11. Goals for the coming week Successful interviews with ADTRAN Research MySQL connectivity alternatives –802.11x w/ network server solution –Bluetooth/AirCable pass-thru solution Bluetooth connection independent of PDA, so one PDA can connect to multiple devices Wrap up mid-semester progress report
