3. What is the Muscular System? The muscular system is an organ system that contains skeletal, smooth, and cardiac muscles. It allows movement for the body, it helps maintain body shape, and it helps the blood move throughout the body.

4. Types of Muscle There are 3 types of muscles in our body. They all serve a different purpose and are all located in different organs.

5. Voluntary: muscle whose action is normally controlled by an individual. For example, you can decide what you want to move in the body and its controllable, such as your arms or legs.
