3 What do we often base our decisions on? Past experiences Values / beliefs (right vs. wrong) Outcomes (How will I benefit from this decision?) Peer pressure

4 Who do we ask to help us make decisions? Depends on the situation. You would want to ask someone who you believe will give you good advice. People to ask may include: parents, siblings, teacher, mentor, etc.

5 Empowered : The means to be inspired because a person feels some control over behavior and decisions. Peer pressure: People of similar age or status place on others to encourage them to make certain decisions.

6 Decision-making styles Inactive: Person fails to make a choice and has no control over the decision. Reactive: Based on peer-pressure. Responsible: Thinks before you act and looks at all of the possible outcomes.

7 Help guide your decisions: Safe ? Ethical ? Legal ?
