Born 14 th March 1974, Victoria Drafted to Collingwood in 1991 and played for 4 years. Adelaide and North Melbourne Never played in Premiership side for a number of reasons. Was not chosen for Grand final side in 1997, Adelaide Suspended after semi-final and did not play in Grand final for North Melbourne, 1999.

Arrived in Bali, afternoon of bombings Paddy’s bar with 2 friends from Perth & North Melbourne player Mick Martyn In bar for 15 minutes before suicide bombers let bombs go. Martyn not hurt, Jason received 50% burns to his body. Taken to Darwin on a special flight Then flown to Melbourne, Alfred Hospital

Long rehabilitation saw him determined to get married 63 days after the bombings, as planned. 2003 – played 7 games for North Melbourne’s VFL side. 6 th June returned to play for North Melbourne against Richmond. Played heavily bandaged, long sleeve top and protective gloves. Two numbers on his jersey 88/202. Eighty-eight Australians died, 202 total deaths from bombings. Good game, 3 kicks, 1 mark, 1 goal and 1 behind. Announced his retirement after the match. AFL motivational speaker
