3 NAEYC 80 years of existence Three main goals – ultimately improve well-being of all young children Bettering well-qualified practitioners, improving conditions for these professionals Deliver high quality system of supporting early childhood programs. Serve and act on behalf of needs, rights, and well- being with all young children Focus on quality of educational and developmental services and resources while serving and acting on behalf of all children birth through age 8.
