Is responsible for operation, formal collaboration, process improvement, and publication of revised guidance developed by DoD Process Review Committees (PRC). Is formally tasked in DoD publications to manage the Joint Physical Inventory Working Group (JPIWG), the Joint Small Arms/Light Weapons Coordinating Group (JSA/LWCG), the web-based Supply Discrepancy Reporting Program (WebSDR), the Finance Process Review Committee, and the DoD Activity Address Directory (DoDAAD/Military Assistance Program Address Directory (MAPAD) PRC. Facilitates Enterprise Integration and continuous improvement of operations by developing and maintaining the DoD logistics Information Exchange Infrastructure and publishing detailed guidance that identifies who does what, when, and how along the DoD logistics chain

Oversees the effectiveness of DoDSA/LWSP, interoperability of the DoD Components’ procedures and transactional interfaces, and minimizes duplication between the DoD Small Arms and Light Weapons Registry and the DoD Component small arms and light weapons registries. Reviews the efficiency and effectiveness of the DoDSA/LWSP in achieving established objectives and recommends, through its Chair, to the ASD(L&MR) policy changes evolving from these reviews. Resolves, if necessary, problems with the DoDSA/LWSP and recommends modifying procedures.

Develops, reviews, and recommends system enhancements for incorporation into the DoD Small Arms and Light Weapons Registry and References (p) and (q). Furnishes agenda items of interest to the Chair, JSA/LWCG. Establishes performance goals for updating the DoD Small Arms and Light Weapons Registry, reconciling discrepancies between the Registry and DoD Components’ records, and responding to Registry inquiries from the DoD Components and authorized law enforcement agencies. Develops and publishes procedural guidelines for small arms and light weapons, coordinates proposed Defense Logistics Management.
