2 How was Abraham Lincoln's childhood? He was born February 12, 1809 on Sinking Spring Farm in southeast Hardin County, Kentucky. He was the son of Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Hawks, two uneducated farmers. His family moved to Illinois because of slavery & as well as difficulties with land deeds in Kentucky. Lincoln lost his mother at the age of nine, after which his father got re-married. He was very affectionate with his stepmother. A feeling he never shared the same feeling with his father. Even though Lincoln attended only 18 months of school, he was a self-educated himself.

3 After His Childhood He was the sixteenth President of the United States Of America. Before being president, he was a lawyer, a United States House of Representative, and an unsuccessful candidate for a Senate seat. One of Lincoln’s best accomplishments and what people remember him for is preventing the Confederacy from splitting from the Union. His actions led to the abolition of slavery in the United States.

4 Why didn't the Lincoln have more security on the night he was murdered? The reason why Lincoln didn’t have more security on the night he was murdered because he honestly thought since the war had just finished, he thought no one would even try to assassinated him. His personal body guard momentarily left his post, so Booth faced no resistance as he drew his single-shot pistol and fired from point-blank at Lincoln's head.
