1. Activity 3: Animation in Education is setting up a website to advertise and distribute its products. The creative director has asked you to create 3 separate animations for the website: a logo, a banner, advert and buttons (p7). The banner will combine raster (bitmap) and vector graphics and demonstrate masking and morphing techniques. The logo and the banner will be displayed near each other on the web page. The advert is to go on other websites. Create storyboards for each animation (P6 part) Create the animation, documenting each using log sheets Test the animation thoroughly by: Checking it against the storyboard Gaining feedback from another person (P7 part) Make improvements based on your testing resulting from the formal review. Save this document as the final version. (P7 part). Produce a version of your animation or another animation that will minimize its file size, annotate the process by which you reduced the file size. (M3 part). Evaluate the tools and/or techniques used in your animation, describing the good and bad points, and what you would use in the future and why (D2 part)

2. Advert This advert needs to advertise the work that Animation in Education does: As a company they do the following: ●Run workshops for teachers about how to teach using animation. ●Run workshops for students about how to animate using Flash and Scratch. ●Produce online resources about animation for teachers and students. Task 1 View the bupa adverts and here to give yourself ideas about the style of your advert.bupa advertshere Task 2: Storyboard your advert. (keep it simple) Task 3: Create your advert using Adobe Flash. Make sure you complete a Flash Log Sheet while you create this animation.

3. Banner Animation in Education need a banner to go at the top of their website alongside their animated logo. Use the Bannertemplate 468x60 Your banner needs to incorporate images and text, the text should be a strapline or slogan such as 'AIE animate with the best' It is VERY important that your banner demonstrates MASKING techniques. REMEMBER a BANNER ADVERT usually runs at the top or bottom of a website. While they can run vertically I recommend that you do not create a vertical banner unless you are really confident.

4. Preloader This is a high level skill and involves action scripting. This is quite a challenging exercise but is a key part of the course. Persevere with the workshop even if you find it really hard. It will produce an effective solution. Click here to go to the link
