Shahdah – it means we believe in one Allah and that Muhammed (S) is His Prophet “Laa – Ilaaha – ilaal – laahu” - there is no deity but Allah “Muhaamadur – rasulullah” – Muhammed (S) is His prophet. We only follow the teachings of the Prophet This is called the Shahadah A deity is one whom we worship

WE DO NOT WORSHIP MUHAMMED (S) WE ONLY WORSHIP ALLAH!!!

Salah – where we pray our 5 daily prayers everyday Fajr = before sunrisezuhr = afternoon Asr = Late AfternoonMaghrib = sunset Isha = Evening On Fridays we pray salatul Juma therefore we do not pray Salatul Zuhr. Muadhdhin – where you can give the Azaan

Sawm – fasting in the month of Ramadan We fast from dawn to sunset Fasting brings us closer to Allah as we pray more and read more. We pray a special salaat called salatul Taraweeh When you break your fast it is called Aftari Everyone MUST fast at the age of 12 and onwards as it is a fardh

Zakat – is where we give part of our money to the needy people When we are older we MUST give Zakat 2.5%

Q = Give Evidence that there is only one whom we worship and Explain. A = we only pray one God, ALLAH. An evidence is from the first Kalima, “laa – ilaaha – ilaal – laahu” meaning there is no DEITY but Allah. We can see from this Kalima that we only worship ALLAH

Shahdah – we believe in one Allah Sawm – fasting during the month of Ramadhan Salah – it means praying 5 daily prayers Zakah – Giving charity Hajj – going to Makkah in a special month The pillars make the religion strong These pillars tell us how to become good muslims A Deity is one whom we worship Salat = Fajr, Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha We don’t pray salatul Zuhr on fridays we pray salatul Juma instead Muadhdin is where you give the call for the prayer Sawm is where you fast during the month of ramadhan You must give 2.5% of zakat All grown up muslims MUST give zakat
