To partner with certified facilitators, civic community and corporate organizations for annual sponsorship, support and continuous development of new businesses and their owners. To raise funds, promote and market RBS by partnering with new organizations for exhibition and advert placements.

3 2014 Royale Business Summit The major objective of 2014 Royale Business Summit (RBS) is to address the needs of the unemployed, aspiring entrepreneurs and the early stage companies that are growing. With a purpose of awarding business grants to ten (10) outstanding business plan submitted for competition every year, we want to develop at least one hundred and twenty (120) high potential individuals to become leaders and entrepreneurs in their various career pursuits every year through classroom training and business support. Our theme for the year was “THE YEARS AHEAD: Amassing Opportunities for Business Innovation”. The summit featured notable speakers among which was one of the 2014 JCI Nigeria TOYP awardee – Chukwuemeka Fred Agbata popularly called CFA. Others are Stephen Akintayo of GILEADBALM and Oluwatosin Kukoyi of RegCharles Finance and Capital Limited (representing Mr. Peter Damian Mbama) Participation: ….. People attended (with over 60% participation by middle class executives).

4 2014 Royale Business Summit Exhibition/Partnership: COMPLAN MILK partnered with us – offered free health check for participants and exhibited their products at a fee. Diamond Bank will partner with us financially in 2015 only if we inform them ahead for them to be able to include us in their 2015 budget. They offered to give us moral support in terms of helping to judge the result of the business plan applications. Participation was eventually made FREE for all. Online Engagement : Advert and registration was done online via our newly created RBS website and Eventbrite ticket booking website. Funds : We were unable to raise fund from external sources. 60% of the funds expended was personally raised by the business directorate team with 40% support from the organization’s purse. Complan Milk paid a sum of N30,000.00 in cash for their exhibition at 2014 RBS - money was remitted to the LO President. Others : We were able to develop a proposal template and future forecast of what we want to see RBS become. Also, we now have a website dedicated to Royale Business Summit at www.lagosroyale.org/rbs and our official RBS email is rbs@lagosroyale.org www.lagosroyale.org/rbs

5 Recommendations General Participation by ALL: While we started our preparations for the event early enough, support/involvement of our members (most especially BOD) were challenging. We observed that despite all the meetings and discussions held regarding RBS and fund raising we did not see the efforts and interest of members in helping with the fund raising except VP (Community & Projects) who made significant effort that has helped us to build a relationship with STANBIC IBTC plc whose representative called after the program to apologize for not being able to fulfil their promise of supporting us by awarding one of our winners N200,000.00 Monetization of RBS: if we would achieve an outstanding result that helps participant to know the worth of our offering, we have to agree as members of a body on how much we want participants to pay for attendance. Corporate Sponsorship: Collectively our contacts/network will be very useful to helping our work succeed.
