1. 1 "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God." (Matthew 5:8) The Heart of Man

2. 2 Because of this statement of Jesus, Christian discipleship is often called "the religion of the pure in heart." The Heart of Man

3. 3 But what is the heart that must be pure and how does God operate on and change the heart to make it pure? The Heart of Man

4. 4 What does the Bible teach? The Heart of Man

5. 5 "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things." (Matthew 12:35) The Heart of Man

6. 6 "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man...." The Heart of Man

7. 7 "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies." (Matthew15:18-19) The Heart of Man

9. 9 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why do you think evil in your hearts?" (Matthew 9:4) The Heart Is Intellectual

10. 10 But immediately, when Jesus perceived in His spirit that they reasoned thus within themselves, He said to them, "Why do you reason about these things in your hearts?" (Mark 2:8) The Heart Is Intellectual

11. 11 "'For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are hard of hearing, And their eyes they have closed, Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, The Heart Is Intellectual

16. 16 Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart. (1 Peter 1:22) The Heart Is Emotional
