2 Because of this statement of Jesus, Christian discipleship is often called "the religion of the pure in heart." The Heart of Man

3 But what is the heart that must be pure and how does God operate on and change the heart to make it pure? The Heart of Man

5 "A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things." (Matthew 12:35) The Heart of Man

6 "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man...." The Heart of Man

7 "For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies." (Matthew15:18-19) The Heart of Man
