If teacher educators are environment conscious, then per year in Karnataka, they would produce about 80,000 trained teachers who are also environment conscious.
In 2020, we can see a vibrant, Healthy and Pollution free India.

9. CONCLUSION
Include environment education as a compulsory subject at DEd, BEd and MEd level.
Environment education has to be learnt by all trainees.(Both Arts and science graduates)
Arrange environment awareness camps to get hands on experience during training
Install “Parisara Ratna” award at Taluk, District, State and National level for teachers who take a lead role in protection of environment.
Have periodic follow up and refresher course of one/two weeks for the inservice teachers and teacher educators once in two years.
