“OBAMA BODY” pg. 354 (new book) or 315 (old) 1.TRACE AN OUTLINE OF PRESIDENT OBAMA’S BODY AND CUT IT OUT. 2.Label each of the 8 presidential roles on the body. At least 3 should have evidence from the Constitution. 3.The body parts should act as symbols representing each of the president’s roles. 4.All guidelines above MUST be completed by the end of class in order to be considered for Awards. Find 3 and write about the 3 you chose. 2.Signify the difference between the following roles without repeating the definitions: –Chief of State and Chief Citizen –Chief Administrator and Chief Executive 3.Which presidential role do you feel is most important? What trait or quality is most vital in a president to perform that role effectively? 16

HOMEWORK… Read the first 2 pages of Federalist Paper No. 70 by Alexander Hamilton Highlight or underline 3 parts of the reading that resonated with you (learned, opinion, question, etc.) Write a 5 line response at the bottom of page 2 about what Hamilton is saying about ‘unity’ and ‘plurality’ in the Executive Branch. 17
