Introduction More like a bird than a penguin, the penguin is very similar to a bird. Come and find out about it’s life while I tell you about it’s adaptations, family, habitat, and what they eat.
4
Adaptations Flap, waddle, quack. All animals have adaptations. Penguins have at least a few adaptations. Penguins have physical adaptations like they have flippers to help them swim under water for food. They also have feathers to keep them warm. They have an orange beak to help them catch their food. Penguins have a very good beak.

Family and Habitat Did you know that penguins live in very cold places and swim and live for a very long time. The coldest place you can find penguins is in Antarctica. Penguins find foods in different kinds of oceans. Do you know how long penguins can live? They can live up to 50 to 60 years. That’s a very long time.
6
Food Penguins don’t just waddle in the water, but they can slide on their bellies in the water too. They slide on their bellies in the water to catch their food. The penguins eat all different kinds of food. They eat krill, fish, and squid. To let the baby penguins eat, the female penguin has to peck the food into little pieces. After they catch the food they eat it on land.
