3 S tudent Center Located at the center of campus and is the home to many of the student resources available At the student center you can purchase text books and other class supplies Purchase food and visit with friends Work on homework Purchase parking passes and slcc on cards Find many of the other resources offered at slcc

5 Disability Resources The disability center is a program that helps people with disabilities get through college and succeeds. The D.R.C (Disability Resource Center) helps by providing resources such as a tape recorder, someone who takes notes for a student if they have problems, computer programs for help with reading, writing etc. There are Disability Counselors to help students with scheduling classes and prepare the individual for college To apply for the D.R.C you must go to the Disability Resource Center. You will go to the front desk to schedule an appointment with a disability counselor; they will give you paperwork you have to feel complete. On your return appointment you submit the paperwork with a diagnoses from your doctor. On approval you and a counselor work on your specific needs to be the most effective student. 6 Financial Aid Usually takes 2-4 weeks to receive a response You can check you my page account to verify the type of aid and how much was awarded When a student is found eligible and Financial Aid is awarded it is for a academic year fall/spring required to split equally between semesters If a student receives Federal Funds and drops or withdraws from classes the funds must be repaid. Financial Aid office: Located SLCC Redwood campus room 268 in the Student Center For any questions on the following the office can further assist students 801-957-4410/ 8:00am-4:15 mon-fri Scholarship requirement and applications Available on line slcc.edu/financialaid/slcc- scholarships or brochures available in office Step one: apply for a PIN# at http://www.pin.ed.gov/ the pin provides you with access to your personal records Step two: Students can apply free of charge for Financial Aid on line at http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/. This application helps students in applying for schoarships, grants, loans and college work study. Other required forms for applying can be found on line at www.slcc.edu/fanancialaid/forms they need to be submitted in person or faxed

Will be charged $10.00 1 hour Massage sessions also available One free individual massage a semester/ after $30.00 fee per 1 hour session No shows are charged $30.00

9 Thayne Center The Thayne center is where students can go to create Community out reach programs. And if a student would like to volunteer they would also contact the Thayne Center. 10 Markosian Library There are three levels to the Markosian library has three levels The upper level- the upper level has fiction a nonfiction The middle has magazines, computers, printers, and copiers. The lower level is where the learning center and math 0001 through math 0003 Salt Lake Community College offers vast libraries where students can check out books, anatomy models, text books, DVD’s etc. All Salt Lake Community College libraries are connected. So if a student needs to check a book out in one library but turn it in to another the library will mail the material to its original library. All Library checkouts and printing require a one card, but copying is only ten cents a page.
