Title 1 allocations are awarded based on the number of students who qualify for free /reduced lunch A campus is eligible to receive funds when the number of students for free/reduced lunch reaches 40% 91.1% of students at Major Cheney Elementary qualify for free/reduced lunch

Schoolwide programs use funds and resources to upgrade the entire educational program of the school in order to raise the academic achievement for all students. ALL BISD TITLE I CAMPUSES HAVE SCHOOLWIDE PROGRAMS. Targeted Assistance programs use funds for supplementary educational services only for a small group of identified children who met criteria determined by the school

Meet the purpose of Title I School must incorporate instructional strategies based on scientifically based research Implement parental involvement activities Supplement, not supplant other efforts Detail in campus improvement plan how Title I funds will be used.

Get Involved! Spread the good news! Stay focused on the targets for improvements. Participate in planning and Title I evaluation efforts Encourage families to complete free and reduced lunch forms
