3. 3 You will need a Norwegian ID number and a PIN code to use this login. The Norwegian ID number has to be registered in the student database (FS) first. New international students should start with this login.

4. 4 Choose English as language! Forgot your username and password? You can login directly from our English webpages once you have activated your student account and have a username (Brukernavn) and password (Passord).

5. 5 The registration for courses and classes can only be continued after: 1. Having paid the semester fee (NOK 500,-). 2. Having registered your payment in the student database.

6. 6 Having paid and registered the semester fee StudentWeb will look like this.

7. 7 There are two Individual education plans. Part 1 is presenting your rights and duties as a student at the UIT and UITs responsabilities and duties towards you. You have to confirm that you have read and understood this information. Click here in order to proceed

9. 9 All compulsory courses are marked with red. Click on the «pencils» to register for classes and exams.

10. 10 Register for classes and exams here. Having registered for classes and exams, click OK-Save plan. Withdrawal from exams/changes is also to be done here (within the deadline). Normally you can select some electives, but you should discuss this with the program coordinator at your Faculty.

11. 11 In order to receive the semester registration receipt with waifer/sticker for student card the “Contact information“ must be updated. Click on «Norwegian address». Mandatory!

12. 12 You should check your UiT e-mail regularly. Fill in your address in Tromsø: Street name + number, ev. room number, postal/city code. Click OK- Save.

13. 13 You can download the payment information here (from the 2nd semester on). Please ignore this information if your payment has been registered in the student database.

14. 14 You can order Transcript of Records here. The document(s) will be, signed, stamped and sent to your semester address in Tromsø.

15. 15 Semester fee: Master students have to pay the semester fee of NOK 500,- before registration at StudentWeb. A payment giro is available at the Student Welfare Organisation. During the course of the Master’s Degree Programme the semester fee should be paid in the beginning of each semester. Since a payment giro is handed out only to new students, «old» students should pay semester fee from their own bank. Payment information will be available at StudentWeb in the beginning of each semester under «Payment» and «Giro».

16. 16 Deadlines: Registration for classes and exams within: –1 February (spring semester) –1 September (autumn semester) Withdrawal from exams within: –1 November/15 April –or 14 days before actual exam.
