1. Who am I? By: Alyssa

2. Who am I? I am Alyssa Murray, I was born in Calgary, Alberta were I have lived for my entire life, and I am 14 years old. I have one sister who is 18 years old, she is my role model although we have very different personalities, I am very quiet, while she is very outgoing, but don’t get me wrong I love to talk, which annoys my sister. I am in my third and final year of Junior High and the past two years I have had perfect attendance, so for my final year I hope to accomplish this as well. After Junior High I will be attending High School, after my 3 years of High School I plan to travel, so I will have to work all through High School. I want to travel the world to see all of the different cultures, so I can come back and share all of them with my family and friends. I have a lot of friends and we hang out a lot, we like to listen to music and talk about life.

3. Who am I?(continued) I have never been on a plane, so I have only driven to the provinces beside Alberta which are British Columbia, and Saskatchewan. I really enjoyed the British Columbia trip, I found B.C so beautiful, as is Alberta, but a change of scenery is always nice. In Canada we have winter which is when we get snow. The snow can be very beautiful but once you go outside it is freezing, and you have to dress warmly so you don’t get cold. I don’t participate in a lot of winter sports, I have a hill in the front of my house so I go sledding down it when there is a lot of fluffy snow, that’s the best snow for sledding. I always make a snowman when the snow is sticky because it sticks together, this snow is also very good to make snowballs, so then you can have a snowball fight. In Calgary you can be influenced by so much diverse food, one that my family likes is East Indian, we found a East Indian Restaurant that we love and haven’t stopped going to it. We order Butter Chicken, Rice (which they call a fancy name), and Naan Bread. It is so delicious with all the spices in it, I love it! I hope to visit India sometime to experience their culture, and to see all the spices in the market.

4. My Family My mother was born in The Maritimes, and my dad was born in Ontario. My Grandparents were in the army so my parents travelled a lot when they were children. All of my grandparents are still alive and healthy, my Grandpa still is able to ride a horse, and my Grandma still makes the best desserts. I enjoy going camping with my whole family, we each have trailers so we stay warm when it gets cold at night. I also have a dog named Chance who I love, he hunts with my dad every October, which is why he misses my birthday, but I always get something anyways. My dog Chance is so weird he does the craziest stuff and barks at you like he’s talking to you it hilarious. He’s very mischievous as well, he gets into everything although at the end of the day we still love him.

5. My Goals Some goals that I would like to accomplish through my life is to help at least one person, whether that be with their lifestyle or the environment. This was a major reason why I wanted to go into Global Leadership, I believed that it would help me get to my goal faster, which it has. I wanted to be in Global Leadership because I identified that something was going on in the world and that it needed to stop and if I could do something about it, I wanted to.

6. Questions for You Some questions that I have for you would be about the climate in Grenada, what are the seasons and temperatures like there? Another question that I would like to ask would be about your religion and cultures, what religion do you practice, and how many other cultures are their in Grenada?
