One of the famous American writers Henry Longfellow said that music is the universal language of mankind. I think that music is the mirror of our life and life problems and it can name the unnamable. But for Ibunka 2009 Dmitry would have never known Galina, his groupmate, shares his passion for music!

A Chance to express myself and my view on the world …and just an interesting project)))))

Thanks to this project I have learnt many interesting things, about which I did not know before. Many people from different parts of the world have met in Ibunka and shared the customs, celebrations, festivals, traditions, school life problems of their countries with each other. Now I have a lot of pen–friends from Japan, China, Denmark and Indonesia and my presentation was devoted to The national celebrations and customs of these wonderful countries. Anna Zakharova

I will be very banal saying that I liked the project, won't it? Well, first of all that was the first time I participated in such an international project. I realise that I should have been more active (at first I was but then problems with the Internet and studies prevented me from being VERY-VERY ACTIVE :(( ) but nevertheless I'm sure I got something from the project - that is much info about Indonesia for example and so many aquaintances of different ages. In general - it was very interesting (I dream of taking part in that project once more) and instructive. I'm too brief, aren't I?! I'm too brief, aren't I?! Jane Artyomova

To my mind, this project was a great luck for us, because we had such a chance of international communication for the first time. The previous work in our Speaking English classes was very monotonous and that project gave us an opportunity to broaden our horizons and to try some new kinds of work. It was very interesting to be acquainted with new people from foreign countries, to tell them about this country and to get to know about theirs. Sometimes there were funny cases, when our new pen-friends didn't understand us and often they even didn't have a concept of some things. Our culture is strange to them and that attracts them, makes them ask questions. Zhanna Pavlova

Of course, I’ve learnt a good deal of new information and now I feel more certain in international communication. It was also very pleasant to be praised for my article concerning Russian national cuisine and I think, it made a lot of good for foreign learners of English and Russian. Of course, the work in the Project gives a lot of new positive emotions, but unfortunately there is lack of time and it’s rather problematic to write and comment on articles every day… If I have such a great opportunity one more time, I’ll certainly take part in it and I’ll try to be more active. So scared we were To start our way Through the labyrinth of cultures. So different we felt To speak One language And share mutual feelings and desires. So surprised we are now On making so many friends and learning so much. Let IBUNKA exist and prosper and flourish as such! Elena Nikolaenko, teacher
