6.  Line up according to your bench order.  Know your bench mates name.  You must stay in this order until you get into the boat.

7.  People must load the boat one bench at a time. (Listen for instructions.)  When you get in the boat, sit on the bench, push your hips to the gunnels and push your feet against the foot rest. bench Foot rest gunnels

8. “Paddle’s up” = get ready The paddles are just above the water. They are not in the water.
