29 trip: used with regard to journey and voyage, suggesting a run between two places, but not suggesting the length, purpose, manner or means of travel e.g. It’s only a half-hour’s trip from here to the bank. He’s on a business trip to Europe.

30 excursion: a trip, esp. a short one taken for interest or pleasure, often by a number of people together e.g. Our class went on an excursion to the mountains last weekend. When will our class go on an excursion to the river Chanhe?

31 tour: a short trip, walk around, usually arranged by a travel agency e.g. Many Americans tour by car every summer. Our class made a tour of Famen Temple. visit: go to see e.g. I’ll visit my aunt next week. The inspector visits the factory once week.

32 voyage: a long trip by water e.g. I think a voyage to the islands will be restful. He goes on a voyage twice a year.
