Suggested topics include, but are not limited to: Social work as a profession and social work practice Types of clients: older people, children, disabled persons Disadvantaged groups in society: minorities, the Roma, the poor

Social workers in Croatia and other countries (education, employment, position, changes) Disabled people (types of disability, care for the disabled, position of disabled persons in Croatia)

Older People (gerontology, care for the elderly, position of older people in Croatia) Child Welfare (legal regulation, child welfare in Croatia, SOS Lekenik and other programs, children with special needs)

Presentation guidelines Suggested duration: 10-15 minutes Presenters: 1-3 Sources: at least 3 different sources; one written, two can be from the Internet Draft to be sent a week in advance Questions and discussion or group work

Examination Two mid-terms and a presentation or Written and oral examination (part-time students)
