Publishing as Prentice Hall9-16 9-7: Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) Attack Using Bots In a distributed denial-of-service attack, the attacker floods the victim computer (or network) with more traffic than the victim can handle. Legitimate users are denied service from the unavailable server.
