We will read them and guess which one is yours

Parts of a Body Paragraph Topic Sentence The “baby thesis” or reason from your introduction paragraph Background Any relevant facts we need to know to set up the argument (dates, people, etc) Evidence The “quote” Analysis / Argument Your analysis should examine the words used in the evidence and make a unique argument Transition / Conclusion One sentence to close the paragraph

12. Example  Napoleon was a hero because the people believed he was a hero. Napoleon regularly had paintings created that depicted him as a war hero. He decided exactly who or what should go in the paintings, how big the paintings should be, and how they should be framed. The article says, “Napoleon created a mythical image of himself.” By having complete control of his image, Napoleon was able to portray himself as all-powerful. This idea of a mythic image, a god-like image, is exactly what Napoleon wanted the French people to see. By seeing him in a certain way, the French would believe that this is the only way Napoleon could possibly be. They would continue to support Napoleon, their god-like leader, for almost a decade.

20. BPS emails?  To log into the windows machine, the student must use their Student ID for the user ID and their 8 digit birthday for the password. For example: John Doe with student ID # 100100, born on June 27th 1999 would log on using User ID: 100100 Password: 06271999.  This will then prompt them to change their password. Please make them change it to something they will remember. If need be, keep it on file somewhere for them.  This changed password is now their password for their Gmail and Aspen.
