2 Search for the client that is the Head of Household (for example, the mom) Set backdate mode to the date and time the new household member entered the program Click on the ”Households” tab 2Adding to an existing household

3 Click on the “Start a New Household” button 3Adding to an existing household

4 Set the Household Type To add to the household, search for the new client to add (for example, the baby) When no match is found, click on the “add new client with this information” 4Adding to an existing household

6 Set the “household relationship” and verify the date Fill out the UDE (Universal Data Elements) questions Save & Exit 6Adding to an existing household

7 Add the new household member to the ROI Click on the ROI tab 7Adding to an existing household

8 Click the pencil to edit the ROI 8Adding to an existing household

9 Select “Include additional Household Members” 9Adding to an existing household

10 Check off newly added client, and click “Continue” 10Adding to an existing household

11 Select “Save Release of Information” 11Adding to an existing household

12 Goto the Entry/Exit tab under the Head of Household client 12Adding to an existing household

13 Click on the Pencil next to the Entry date of the HOH 13Adding to an existing household

14 Click on the box “Include additional Household Members” NOTE: DO NOT CHANGE THE ENTRY DATE YET, THAT WOULD CAUSE THE ENTRY DATE OF THE HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD TO CHANGE! 14Adding to an existing household

15 Check off the household member to add, and click Continue 15Adding to an existing household

16 Click on the pencil next to the Entry date next to the newly added client 16Adding to an existing household

17 Make sure the check box next to the Head of Household is unchecked. Change the date to the correct entry date for the newly added client 17Adding to an existing household

18 Now click on the newly added client’s name in the Household Members box, next to the Entry questions. Fill out all the entry questions for the newly added client. 18Adding to an existing household

19 You will have to exit backdate mode to go into ShelterPoint, just click on the red circle with the X in in at the top right hand corner of your screen 19Adding to an existing household

20 Click the ShelterPoint tab. Click on “View All” to see that the Head of Household is checked in 20Adding to an existing household

21 Click on the Head of Household’s name. Notice in the “Group ID” column there is no number listed. 21Adding to an existing household

22 In the Households Members section, click to add a check mark next to the newly added client’s name Now click on the “Assign Unit” button to assign the newly added client to a bed 22Adding to an existing household

23 Click Save & Exit 23Adding to an existing household

24 Click on the newly added clients name, also notice there is now a number under Group ID for the Head of Household and new client. 24Adding to an existing household

25 Change the check in date for the newly added client, then click Save & Exit. 25Adding to an existing household
