3. U SE OF THE T ERM Meaning—” proclaimer of good news.” Timothy urged to do the work of an Evangelist – “But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.” {2 Timothy 4:5}

T HE W ORK OF AN E VANGELIST The work of Philip Proclaiming Christ – “Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them…Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.” {Acts 8:5,35} Attended by miracles to confirm the word – “And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.”{Acts 8:6}
