Social Issues The Roaring 20’s The time following World War 1 until 1929 was a time of great growth in the US. There was an economic boom. Average people could afford “consumer goods”: Refrigerators, radios, telephones There were more jobs to MAKE these goods Due to assembly line factories, good were cheaper In 1908 a car cost $820, in 1925 a car cost $290!
