1. Asexual Reproduction
A new organism is produced from one organism and will have hereditary material identical to that of the parent organism

2. Cellular Asexual Reproduction
Organisms with cells that have nuclei (eukaryotes) can asexually reproduce by cell division.
I.e.: sweet potatoes, strawberries
Bacteria don’t have nuclei so they must reproduce by fission, where genetic material is copied and then the cells split into two identical organisms.

3. Budding and Regeneration
A type of asexual reproduction made possible by cell division. When the “bud” becomes large enough is breaks away to live on its own

Process that uses cell division to regrow body parts
For some organisms, if the break apart, new ones can grow from each piece
Examples: sea stars, sponges, planaria
