As of 4:40pm today: ◦ 391 youth (52 of which are youth leaders) ◦ 131 adult volunteers ◦ 390 enrollments “pending” ◦ IF all enrollments are finalized our total would be 912 youth and volunteers Michelle periodically contacts the CCLs and VECs about people who are still “pending”.

San Joaquin County Office of Education relationship ◦ 4-H staff provide training in Positive Youth Development to ASP professionals Junk Drawer Robotics Motion Commotion Water Wizards Some individual schools are asking for additional on-site training

Bobby has spearheaded this project ◦ Youth from Washington K-8 spend time once a week at the urban farm Grow fruits and vegetables Chickens and quail Bee hives ◦ In 2013-2014 there were 8 youth, this year there are ~20 ◦ Members are considering starting a 4-H Club

Valley View 4-H Club ◦ Located in Stockton ◦ Chartered in October, setting up regular club and project meetings now Live Learn Boho 4-H Club ◦ Located in Lodi ◦ Charter should be approved by end of November

Separate 501(c)3 that supports 4-H’s mission in San Joaquin county Funds multiple scholarships Program development funds ◦ Clubs and projects may ask the Foundation for financial support Submit a “Funding Proposal Form” to County 4-H Office Intent is to create and revitalize programs, not to pay enrollment or other participation fees

Last one for 2015 is Saturday, December 12 th from 1:00-3:00pm Additional dates will be scheduled for 2016 ◦ Pre-registration will now be required, and there must be at least 6 people registered for it to happen 15 volunteers have gone through training so far, feedback has been positive

Is the Council interested in working with the Stockton Ports to do this? ◦ Great social event ◦ Possible fundraising opportunity
