4 PROJECT PURPOSE THROUGH THE SERIES OF TRAINING BY MATHEMATICS FACILITATOR STUDENTS ARE ABLE TO CONDUCT LESSONS USING PROBLEM SOLVING APPROACH Ono-sensei with Grade 2 students

6  Training of 25 students on problem solving Approach  Training of 3 teachers on problem solving Approach OUTPUTS Teachers’ discussion on writing a lesson plan together MrSugita conducts training for teachers

7 WHAT ARE THE CONTENTS?? Know more about Problem Solving Ask questions(hatsumon) effectively Sharing ideas and appreciating others’ ideas is very important in training Lesson plan also include board prepara tion Assess by giving out model to partner whose eyes are closed

11  For students o April-may’12 o Sept-Oct’12  For teachers  June-July’12 Activity 1-4/2-4 Assess and evaluate knowledge about problem solving Materials Foolscaps- for reflective journals Questionaire Ready-made assessment forms with criteria of assessment Students are monitored and assessed using stated criteria Teachers are assessed by stated forms of assessment
