1953 - B.F. Skinner's “Science and Human Behavior” 1957 –Little Rock High School integration project 1960 -Ruby Bridges is the first African American student to enter a school in New Orleans. She is by herself when all the Caucasian students are pulled out by parents.

1974 -Forced Bussing 1979 –America exceeds 150 billion on educational funding 1972 - The Indian Education Act becomes law: Must meet the needs of American Indians and Alaskan Natives students in schools 1972 - Title IX of the Education Amendments becomes a law. Schools cannot discriminate due to gender.

1973 - The Rehabilitation Act becomes law. Students with help problems are eligible for a 504 plan. 1975 - The Education of All Handicapped Children Act (PL 94- 142).

One can see that America went through numerous changes as time progressed. Many educational philosophers made their mark on society, and their practices are still in use today. Education was impacted by society as well. As technology advanced so did education. Thoughts and practices changed education as well.
