Romans 12:1-2

Why God God loves all of us for who we are, but he loves us too much to allow us to remain 'who we are‘. “ ”

Transformed Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God — this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2

Three Steps to Transformation  Be immersed in the love of God "I urge you by the mercies of God..."

Three Steps  Give God those things you think you can't live without …to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God— this is your true and proper worship.

“Do not lay a hand on the boy,” he said. “Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son.” Genesis 22:12 The angel of the L ORD called to Abraham from heaven a second time and said, “I swear by myself, declares the L ORD, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you… Genesis 22:15-17a

 Get rid of “Stinking Thinking” Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2

“Stinking Thinking”  A “Woe is me” attitude  A “My life will amount to nothing” attitude  A “God is not pleased with me” attitude  An “Everyone will disappoint me” attitude  An “It’s everyone else’s fault” attitude “We can’t afford the luxury of ‘Stinking thinking’ because stinking thinking produces stinking results.” Gayle Rosellini

How?  Practice new ways of thinking  Know what God knows  Say what God says  Do what God does
