Day 1: Classroom Presentations ▪ Student Resource Folders (transcripts, academic review form, financial aid overview, letter of recommendations, sat/act scores, senior survey Day 2: Workshops ▪ Students were able to choose two workshops from the eight that were offered ▪ Military ▪ Career Technical Education/Two Year Degree ▪ Community College Transfer Pathways ▪ CSU (California State University) ▪ UC (University of California) ▪ Private/Independent ▪ Out of State ▪ School to Work Day 2: Seven orkshops – 2 nd and 3 rd periods

Tips for Sending Scores Official scores must be sent to the campus SAT: 3594 (all 23 campuses) Choose one UC all UC’s will receive scores ACT: send to one CSU campus through ACT, then send to additional campuses through csumentor via ACT Manager at no cost. Choose one UC and all UC’ s will receive scores NCAA code: 9999

FAFSA – 1/1/2016 through 3/2/2016 Everyone should apply, regardless of income Use “FAFSA on the Web Worksheet” now Complete FAFSA4caster – to estimate potential aid – www.fafsa.ed.govwww.fafsa.ed.gov Attend Financial Aid/Scholarship Night at RHS December 14, 2015 Cal Grant – GPA Verification RHS will electronically submit by March 2 nd Contact campus Financial Aid office if you have special circumstances Research campus Financial Aid website pages for scholarship information Continually check RHS website: counseling/scholarship section

Competitive admission cycle Admission is preliminary Maintain all C’s or better – depending on campus; higher grades may be needed Maintain courses reported Check e-mail and admission accounts twice weekly Meeting deadlines is necessary Transcript requests – request form needed Apply to all systems – keep options open until financial aid/scholarships are known Ongoing conversations about goals, finances, emotions
