Don't think that the school in the past was much different from the school of today. I start telling you that I attended the high school in Chiavenna, with the intention to continue my education at university. Unlike today there were only two courses of secondary school, everyone formed by two sections : Liceo Scientifico (a senior high school specializing in science education) and Ragioneria (a school for accountants). Geometri (a school for building surveyor) was born later. All together there were twenty classes.

The break was from 10.30 to 10.40: unlike today there weren't any food dispensers and so students used to bring snacks from home, but there was also the possibility to buy some croissants from the baker's who came round to school. The break was a moment to meet people and talk to friends and nobody listened to music with the personal mp3 or texted with the mobile phones as students do today. After five classes the school day finished and we came back home for lunch and a long afternoon of study was waiting for us.

I hope I gave you a global view of the school of 25 years ago: now it’s your turn. Good luck!
