Adding Slides and Choosing Layout / To see formatting palette, click on View, then “Formatting Palette” / At top of palette you will see Add Objects - click on slides icon to see layouts / To see formatting palette, click on View, then “Formatting Palette” / At top of palette you will see Add Objects - click on slides icon to see layouts

Adding Shapes / Under “add objects” click on the AutoShapes icon / Click on the shape you want!

Examples of Shapes To write in the shape, double click on shape and click on text box. Select wordwrap text in autoshape and start typing! You can add text boxes with “insert” on the menu too!

Adding Sound / Click Insert and then “movies and sounds” / You can record your own voice! / Great for reading instructions to younger students! / Have students read their project info!

Image Capture / To capture an image for your desktop, simply press Shift, Apple (command) 4 at the same time.Click and drag to capture the image / Once you release the mouse, it will instantly capture the image and put it on your desktop. Special Effects /Y/You can add effects to your text as well as your pictures /I/I can be animated!

Effects Instructions / First, highlight (block) the text you want to add effects to. / Click on animation and then on customize and then add effects / From there, you can click on whatever effects you want! Adding Tables You can merge Cells by blocking the cells and clicking on merge cells icon on table tool bar that appears after you create the table You can change the colors Pictures can be dragged in to the cells You can center Text vertically You can add shapes too!

To change slide layout To change slide layout / You can change your slide layout at anytime. To do so, click on the toolbar above on the slide layout icon and pick whatever design you wish to change to.

Slide Transitions / You can make your slides more interesting by adding transition effects / Click on “Change Slides” in formatting palette and then on slide transition icon. Select your transition type by double clicking
