2. Goals?  Provide an overview.  Get started.

3. Who?  Teachers  Coaches  Advisors  Administrators

4. What?  An easy way to communicate with students & parents.  Handy for homework, quizzes/tests, meetings, changes in plans, miscellaneous announcements.  Convenient: There’s a (free) app for that! :o)  Flexible: Students & parents can opt to receive text, email, and/or push messages.  Safe & Private: Students & parents don’t see your contact info (cell phone #) and vice versa.

5. Options  Sub-divide your account into different classes/groups.  Send out messages immediately or schedule them for delivery at a later time.  Students can respond to messages with “stamps.”  Two-way “Chats” are possible.  Attach files, photos, voice clips to your messages.

6. Steps  Create a teacher account.  Set up classes/groups/teams & preferences.  Download the app on your phone/ipad for ease of sending messages.  Share class/group IDs with students & parents in order for them to “join” a class (Via your online classroom? Via future syllabi?)  You can also email “invites” to students & parents while logged in to your Remind account.
