What? An easy way to communicate with students & parents. Handy for homework, quizzes/tests, meetings, changes in plans, miscellaneous announcements. Convenient: There’s a (free) app for that! :o) Flexible: Students & parents can opt to receive text, email, and/or push messages. Safe & Private: Students & parents don’t see your contact info (cell phone #) and vice versa.
5
Options Sub-divide your account into different classes/groups. Send out messages immediately or schedule them for delivery at a later time. Students can respond to messages with “stamps.” Two-way “Chats” are possible. Attach files, photos, voice clips to your messages.
6
Steps Create a teacher account. Set up classes/groups/teams & preferences. Download the app on your phone/ipad for ease of sending messages. Share class/group IDs with students & parents in order for them to “join” a class (Via your online classroom? Via future syllabi?) You can also email “invites” to students & parents while logged in to your Remind account.
