OPAM: Office of Proposal & Award Management NIH Operates Under a Continuing Resolution NOT-OD-15-001 NOT-OD-15-001 Continues government operations through Dec. 11, 2015 As identified under NOT-OD-14-055, NIH will issue non- competing research grant awards below the level indicated on the most recent Notice of Award (generally up to 90% of previously committed level). NOT-OD-14-055 Upward adjustments to awarded levels will be considered after FY 2015 appropriations are enacted, but NIH expects institutions to monitor their expenditures carefully during this period. OPAM: Office of Proposal & Award Management Service Level Understanding (SLU) Update Per the recently updated SLU, OPAM has 1 business day to conduct signature authority review and approval, and to submit. Submissions which error upon submission require ½ business day prior to the deadline. With this in mind, please note that no submission received after 2pm on a deadline date (assuming the deadline is 5pm) will be submitted by OPAM, due to workflow and personnel requirements. Reminder of What’s new! IRB Coordinators can’t make changes to the Smart Form for you. HelpText now available – lots of good info: UP’s – PD’s now combined and called ‘RNI’. Routine ‘Close to enrollment’ happens in eCRIS, not eIRB. Terminology Alert! –‘Terminate’ now called ‘Close’ a study, at which point it can be found in the ‘Archived’ list.
