Townsend Data 18% of your students received 3+ referrals since the beginning of the year. These students were responsible for 309 referrals out of the 421 so far this year That mean less than 18% of your students are responsible for 73% of your referrals. Are office referrals alone effective in improving the behavior of the 18%? Can Tier 1 practices be improved to reach more students?

© 2005 by The Guilford Press Expectations for Teachers (Similar to Students on Contracts) Greet student Provide feedback at predetermined times – Rate behavior on the daily progress report – Explain rating to student Prompt appropriate behavior – “Tomorrow, let’s work on….”

© 2005 by The Guilford Press Role of CICO Staff Check in with student at the beginning of the day (60 – 90 seconds) Check for the return of their signed form. Give them a new form, pointing out goal Give encouragement Check out at the end of the day. Record points/percentages on excel.

© 2005 by The Guilford Press CICO Pilot Will select up to 10 students to pilot the program this year Teachers can nominate up to 2 students Tier 2 team will also consider incident referral and time out data Tier 2 Team will choose students they feel can most benefit from Tier 2 intervention.
