1. BABCOCK MEDICAL SOCIETY: OUR VISION AND GOALS

2. Introduction  Inaugurated in June 2015  The Babcock Medical Society (BMS) was instituted to act as an umbrella organization for the advancement of Medical Science and Practice in the country.  It includes a scientific base and a Journal for the publication of our findings.

3. Vision Statement  To make Babcock University and Teaching Hospital global centres of excellence for research and service delivery

Mission Statement  Birthing a new generation of scientific investigators who will engender a paradigm shift for the development and implementation of locally applicable yet globally relevant tools to address the myriad of health challenges in our environment; achieved through our commitment to excellent, sound and impact- driven research practices.

5. Goals  To advance science through the development of tools for improving patient management derived from scientifically sound collaborative projects  To serve as a role model of standard medical practice in the country, by ensuring the highest level of professionalism amongst all cadres of Health care practitioners.  To improve our research funding in all areas in BU/BUTH by competing for international and national grants  To recognize, maintain and strengthen the Christian Missionary Vision of BU/BUTH
