1. Setting Up Health Report for Freedom DVR (v1.20R) 1.First, we need to setup the email into the DVR system. (Main Menu -> Network -> E-Mail) Turn “Off” Use Default Server to input SMTP parameters Input your SMTP Server (example: smtp.gmail.com) Input your SMTP Port (example: Port 465) Turn “On” Security Input your email address (example: test@gmail.com) Input your email password Input your email address again (example: test@gmail.com) Input your test email address(example: test1@gmail.com) Press the “Test” button after saving the parameter to see if email is being received. Press “OK” to save the parameter.

2. Setting Up Health Report for Freedom DVR (v1.20R) 2. Second, we are ready to set up the Health Report. (Main Menu -> Network -> E-Mail) You can set the Health Report feature to send reports: Daily (Sends a report to the recipient at midnight every day) Weekly (Sends a report to the recipient on Sunday midnight every week) Monthly (Sends a report to the recipient at midnight on the last day of the month)

3. Setting Up Health Report for Freedom DVR (v1.20R) 3. Third, we are ready to set up the Health Report. (Main Menu -> Network -> E-Mail) Press “Setup” to modify “Report Configuration” Here you can check off what you want on the health report: DVR Information (Model, F/W Version, MAC Address, IP Address, and etc.) HDD S.M.A.R.T (Hard drive temperature, health, and etc.) Record Status Video Status Press “OK” to save the parameter.

4. 4. Now, we need to setup where the email is being sent to. (Main Menu -> User) Setting Up Health Report for Freedom DVR (v1.20R) Press the empty “E-Mail” box to input the recipient email Input the recipient email address here Turn “ON” the email send feature Press “Save” to save parameter Press “OK” to apply setting

5. Setting Up Health Report for Freedom DVR (v1.20R) 5. Fourth, setting up “Record Stop Event” (Main Menu -> Record -> Option) Set the duration for “Record Stop Event” Example: 1 Day – if the DVR stops recording for 1 day, it will send an email. “Record Stop Event” will send out an email if the DVR has not recorded during the set duration. Alert: This function will only send email if it doesn’t see recording on all channels.

Lastly, we need to name the DVR (Main Menu -> System -> Management) You can change the DVR name here Reason: So you can easily distinguish it from many other Freedom DVRs that’s going to give you a health report. *This name will appear on the email subject line. Press “OK” to save the settings.
