Teacher observations revealed that students lack basic functionality skills to efficiently generate digital products. Teachers and leadership have recognized the need for an explicit technology articulation plan to address the needs of the students.

9. Getting on Board The lab is an extension of the classroom. Instructional leaders will actively support teachers to ensure effective digital instruction in the classroom and computer labs. Teachers will actively engage in student learning and incorporate Digital Passport-21 st Century Skills within their content area through whole group, small group, and individual differentiated instruction. Every student will have access to the computer lab a minimum of 6-8 times per month.

ELA and Social Studies Expectations All 6 th -8 th grade students will: – Receive exposure to ELA Digital Passport skills #1-5 prior to online practice assessments – Complete two ELA practice assessments prior to March 31 st All 6 th -8 th grade teachers will: – Incorporate Digital Passport skills during instruction in the classroom and computer lab. – Evaluate ELA Digital Passport skills #1-5 through the completion of two ELA practice assessments prior to annual online assessments.
