TCF Work Groups Established last year with a two phase approach: Define issues – December 2006 Refine codes that can be used in a service offering – July 2007 Phase 1 finished on time Phase 2 now under way Relatively good industry buy in

Telecom’s Operational Separation Required by the new Telco Act, Telecom to split into three divisions Network access Wholesale Retail “Equivalence of Inputs” on a key range of services. Government gets to decide the details, and which services covered. Submit! March, and probably June, 2007.

New Telco Act The regulator now has new powers: To review and monitor markets To make standard terms offerings available – don’t need to wait for an access seeker to fail commercial negotiations and pay for a determination. Plus a new commissioner is on the way. Watch this space!
