7 Non compliance sanctions Fixed (and assumed) lower costs for compliance-No ATE, lower fixed success fee Non fixed (and same or increased) costs for liability or >£2.5k quantum disputes –Higher costs –Higher ATE premiums–(£2500 now £12000) –Higher success fees

8 Implementation Timescales Consultation period closed 13.7-Results were to be announced September 2007 300-400 responses Next update now likely to be November Requires secondary legislation October and April windows Fixed fees agreed early 2008 Go live mid 2008-more likely October? EL only?
