If enslaved by an African, one could earn freedom
1520 to to 12 million Africans enslaved by Europeans

5. Atlantic Slave Trade In the 1500s, Europeans enslaved Africans to work their farms in the Americas and the Caribbean. After being sold by African kings, slaves were treated as cargo aboard ships.

Missionary - someone who travels to another country to do religious/social work
Europe colonized/robbed Africa
Ethiopia & Liberia - never colonized - no resources
