2 WHY THE PAUSE? Issues of trust – new Director of Nursing & Midwifery Persistent resistance from Staff & Staffside Opportunity to reflect and to look forward Listen to the concerns raised by staff

3 DURING THE PAUSE Meetings were paused Workshops took place within each locality led by Staffside The Project Manager successfully applied for another post

4 LESSONS LEARNED Sometimes a rest is as good as a change! Opportunity to listen to staff via the workshops Provided time for personal and team reflection

6 WHAT WE HAVE ACHIEVED Adopted a Team approach and not focused solely on the Community Health Nurse Locality implementation groups with public involvement Staff adopting new roles to meet the needs of the community

7 WHAT’S NEXT? First cohort of staff will undertake Transitional and ongoing education in February Roll out of training and development at locality level to whole team Positive development of Community Nursing Teams
